Find Your Center with Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, also known as Winter Cherry or Indian Ginseng, is a small shrub with yellow flowers that is native to India and North Africa. Its roots have been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. In Sanskrit, it means “smells of the horse”, which refers to the rich, earthy smell of the roots. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, which means that it helps the body manage stress.

Adaptogens are an important component in Ayurveda. Although they have been used for thousands of years, the term “adaptogen” itself wasn’t used until the 1960s. They nourish the body by maintaining normal, healthy stress responses. They are traditionally said to be rejuvenating herbs which are able to help the body adjust to whatever it needs at the time. For example, in the past, Ayurvedic herbal formulators have used adaptogens for increasing vitality and energy while also prescribing them for calming the mind and improving memory. In Ayurveda, adaptogenic herbs include holy basil, moringa, bacopa, and shatavari in addition to ashwagandha.

We grow certified organic ashwagandha on our farms and use some of the most advanced extraction technology in order to offer a high-quality product. This way, we can combine one of the most ancient herbal traditions with the most modern technology to deliver consistent results.

We offer ashwagandha in two forms: single herb capsules and single herb powders. Our ashwagandha capsules are made from our powerful extracts and vegetarian capsules for a more convenient way to incorporate into your daily routine. Each capsule contains half a gram of extract of certified organic ashwagandha. This is one of the best options for specific dosing, or for patients who cannot tolerate the flavor of different extracts.

Our dual extracted ashwagandha powder is a loose powder that is extremely versatile. One gram can be added to drinks, smoothies, coffee, tea, and even water. Try our Ashwagandha Cinnamon Dolce Latte below!
